At the Nestlé Research Center and in Nestlé product development centres around the world, premier scientists work to integrate research into concepts for future products. However, we are also interested in the innovative ideas of others worldwide.

Protect your Interests
Before making a submission, you should understand and protect your interests by consulting your own lawyer. We do not want to deprive anyone of an original idea. Depending on the situation, it may be appropriate for you to file a patent application before submitting any information to us. In other cases, the information may have to remain confidential because it cannot be patented, or because the concept may not be appropriately conveyed to Nestlé without disclosing confidential elements. In such cases, you must not use the Technology Submission Agreement available on this website, and you must instead first negotiate a separate written confidentiality agreement with Nestlé. However, experience shows that in most cases, preliminary disclosure of non-confidential information is sufficient for Nestlé to determine its interest.
Submission Procedure
This website describes the process in order to submit your concept to Nestlé. You must understand that all information submitted to us at this stage must be non-confidential, regardless of whether a patent covering such information has already been filed for or not.
We will not adopt all ideas sent to us. Some ideas will extend beyond Nestlé’s research interests, while some may have already been developed or are currently in development. In case your proposal is not adopted by our company, we are not compelled to give you any additional information on our decision.
We routinely go through a thorough evaluation process, and therefore it could take up to three months for our team to review your proposal, and give you an answer on whether there is an interest or not.
